Question: How do you balance  your Recruiting/Field Training/Personal schedules?

My career at American Income is my priority. I fit any personal needs around work, it is easy to do if you are willing. I like to plan my days out so I know exactly what must get done today and what tasks can wait until tomorrow. Have a proactive schedule so I don’t have to be in a state of reaction all day.

Question: What motivates you?

Having influence and being able to show new agents how to be independent. (the pay is nice too)

Question: What are your top 5 Priorities each week?

1. Recruiting  2. Motivating my team  3. Managing business on the books  4. Field training  5. Planning workshops

Question: What did you do this month that was different than last month?

I focused a lot more on teaching my 3 Supervising Agents how to take on the responsibilities of being General Agents.

Question: What advise would you have for other Managers to get to where your at?

Have loyalty above all else. Be there for your up line manager and never question  anything they ask of you. Do not let your mood or excitement level change with the day to day challenges you face in this business. Know that you have gotten to where you are for many reasons; you are talented, honest, fair, and willing to do things that average people are unwilling to do.  Focus on your own deal and what you need to do in order to be have success. We are blessed to have and agency with the most talented managers in the company in our Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo operations. Pick their brains.
